Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Baradu (Toor Dal)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions:

  1. Wash and soak the Baradu for 30 minutes.
  2. Pressure cook the Baradu with water, turmeric powder, and salt until soft.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, onions, green chilies, and ginger-garlic paste.
  4. Add tomatoes, red chili powder, and cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  5. Add the cooked Baradu and mix well. Cook for a few minutes.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
